In this section of the website you can find all things events related. This can include highlights of your favorite RPGs, GCGs, and other Games events. It will also include information on our Costume Contest, and any new events coming to ANGaming. 

Collectible card games (CCGs), also called trading card games (TCGs) or customizable card games (CCGs), are played using specially designed sets of cards. While trading cards have been around for longer, CCGs combine the appeal of collecting with strategic gameplay.

Board Games

Our board games  is a game played with counters or pieces that are placed on, removed from, or moved across a "board" (a premarked surface, usually specific to that game). Simple board games often make ideal "family entertainment" since they are often appropriate for all ages. Some board games, such as chess, go/weiqi, xiangqi, shogi, or oware, have intense strategic value and have been classics for centuries.

Role Playing Games

A role-playing game (RPG; often roleplaying game) is a game in which the participants assume the roles of fictional characters and collaboratively create or follow stories. Participants determine the actions of their characters based on their characterization, and the actions succeed or fail according to a formal system of rules and guidelines. Video Games

A video game is a game that involves interaction with a user interface to generate visual feedback on a video device. The word video in video game traditionally referred to a raster display device However, with the popular use of the term "video game", it now implies any type of display device. The electronic systems used to play video games are known as platforms; examples of these are personal computers and video game consoles. These platforms are broad in range, from large computers to small handheld devices. 

NOTE: All gaming will be BYOCF (Bring Your Own Controller Friendly). We will also do a bag check in some areas, so you can freely go around and enjoy your gaming time. Also, all the above tourneys, and others noted at the message board, will have prizes for top players from figurines to soundtracks! (All are free to enter with your Anime North membership).

Game sign-ups for Events and Tournaments  games will be made available on the day in which they run at the convention itself. More details will be available in the Convention Handbook that will be given out to each attendee when they arrive.

Please note that while we will always do our best to ensure that all games listed will be available to all attendees. Many events will have a limited number of player spaces available - so remember to register for them early! Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
